Our Story

Hello Everyone, my name is Pimbucha (Pim-bu-cha), a founder of HomeTown Momento (HTM), an online store curating quality cotton textile products from Thailand to admirers. 

I was born and grew up in Bangkok, a capital city of Thailand, however, I have been living in the United States since 2006. This year for the first time after pandemic, I was finally able to go back home again to meet my family. HTM all started when I visited a cotton fabric store which is part of a local community that I used to take part with my mom as a volunteer when I was young. 

As you may know or not, Thailand has a historic base of cotton production and textile. Cotton fabric has its own unique charm with simplicity yet humble aesthetic. In addition, it is functional, durable, and versatile.

Most importantly, it makes me think about my mom. She loves all kinds of 100% Thai cotton fabrics, and she seamlessly incorporates them in her daily life: her clothes, bath towels, or even floor mat. I had fond memories wearing a beautiful cotton sarong from my mom when we went to the temple on every Sunday. My luggage back to the US every time must have some cotton items from my mom.

I’d say “Thai cotton” is one of a kind my hometown momento that immensely remind me my mom, hometown and home country. It was a moment of epiphany for me that I decided to create HTM store in July 2022 and my mom blissfully helped hand-pick the first HTM collection.
